Nashik to Kasara

Kasara ghat is a ghat (mountain pass) in the Western Ghats near the town of Kasara in Maharashtra. The Kasara Ghat is located on the busy Mumbai–-Nashik route, and is one of the four major routes rail and road routes leading into the Mumbai. The railway line, which passes through the ghat is the steepest in India with a gradient of 1 in 37.

Last week we went to Mumbai and I was able to get some exotic snaps of this place, I was amazed by the beauty of this place, specially in monsoon.

Anjaneri

Anjaneri is believed to be the birth place of “Lord Hanuman” Hindu God of strength. . "Anjani" the mother of Hanuman lived here hence the place is named as Anjaneri. It is a less fort with religious beliefs.

Ganagadwar (Tryambakeshwar)

The Godavari River originates from Trimbakeshwar in Nashik. Nashik also has one of the twelve Jyotirlingas in India.

It is also known by Trimbakeshwar or Tryambakeshwar or Trambakeshwar is an ancient Hindu temple in the town of Trimbak, Its just 28 Kms form nashik city (Maharashtra, India) It is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is one of the twelve Jyotirlingaas.

It is located at the source of the Godavari River, the longest river in peninsular India. The Godavari River, which is considered sacred within Hinduism, originates from Bramhagiri Mountains (Trimbakeshwar) and meets the sea near Rajahmudry. Kusavarta, a kund is considered the symbolic origin of the river Godavari, and revered by Hindus as a sacred bathing place.
